Our Client is currently looking to employ a trainee service technician who will be required to learn how to service and maintain our range of converting machinery in the field. Once fully trained the person will be required to service, fault-find and trouble shoot, carry-out PM (preventative maintenance) servicing, commissioning new machinery, and be able to offer telephone tech support to existing clients. Follow-up will include writing reports and recommendation of spares/consumables to clients together with after sales customer care.
The person must have some industrial electrical knowledge as used in electrical cabinets (relays, contractors, safety circuits etc…) and be able to read electrical drawings, gained through a recognised organisation such as a training centre. Mechanical fitting experience is desirable as well as an understanding of pneumatics & hydraulics which would be a distinct advantage. Must be willing to travel throughout UK to customer sites using our company van. After training visits to other World-wide client locations within Europe, USA & Russian markets will also be required. Ideal candidate must be trustworthy, able to work on own initiative and demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude. Valid clean drivers license and valid passport essential.
